Iowa does not prescribe a lien waiver form: Iowa Code chapter 572 is silent on waiver format, requires no notarization, and contains no anti-waiver provision, so our general-purpose conditional and unconditional progress and final waivers apply. Iowa courts do construe broad waiver language narrowly, repeatedly reading general waivers as covering only amounts already paid rather than amounts earned but unpaid.
